    Hi,

I just found your site on Face Book..

I have had several health issues over the past few years, including Brain surgery last summer.
Since then I’ve tried to eat healthy and even had a garden this summer.. I am also working with a Holistic Dr and Chiro who keeps my pain level more manageable..
I haven’t been able to get to the gym much but was wondering what you would suggest to star building muscle back up.. I am thin but have lost a bunch of muscle do to recovery.
The other factor I have to deal with is very cold snowy winters..

Thank you so much, I love your site,
    Debbie

Great info! A lot of things that I already do with a family of 6. Believe it or not Aldi has sales on organic meats. I have even found a trick for getting them cheaper than the sale price( hint: it has to do with the sale by date. As a mother of 4 on a budget, I am always looking for ways to continue buying as many good whole foods as possible for my family. Great show, especially since you mentioned my hubby! Keep up the great work Shawn!

I had a question about 3 foods that seem to pass your test and are staples of my diet. The first is pickles. I know it has salt, but that is the only harm I see. The second is V8. I even do the low sodium version to cut back on salt. The last thing I eat a lot of is sweet potatoes. How healthy are these items?

Hi shawn! Your podcasts are amazing. Just stumbled upon them and am listening to them from the beginning! I was listening to this one this morning and I hear you say a lot “I’m not a fan of supplements” and I also hear you recommending some different ones you do like. What do you consider a supplement? Are supplements and the superfood supplements considered different?

Thanks for all of your information. You have opened my eyes to a whole new world and I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge and helping others learn this stuff too 🙂
