Loved the show! And, you are so right, gluten-free does not equal healthy!! haha. While it’s not likely that I will be giving up the gluten free pancakes anytime soon, I do love being present to this context.

I will say this though…when I do a detox 1 or 2x a year, I don’t even crave these kinds of things, my body generally craves more healthy whole foods. I am uber aware that I am craving this kind of stuff because I am on a down swing.

Time to get back to a detox! Thanks for the show, great content. J

I like how Jade gave this amazing play-by-play of the gluten-free pancakes she made… even including whole foods like sweet potatoes, and then feeling that she did something “not right”. You know, as I know, it’s not about that. It’s just about being aware, and radically upgrading our food choices whenever possible. I’ll be adding some mashed sweet potato to the mix next time myself! Thanks for sharing, Jeremy!

I have diagnosed myself celiac / glutenintolerant through the elimination of gluten and feeling a lot better.

Iron defiecy as child, low body weight and under-active thyroid gland…now I am gain normal weight, have a normal colour and feeling so much better.

I think the point that glutenfree does not equal healthy is very important!!
I consuming fresh vegetables and fruits as much as possible every day. I think gluten / kasein-free AND a big amount of raw, fresh vegetables / fruits are the main way to a healthy and happy life 🙂

Thanks for this show! You know I advocate eating whole foods, but I must admit, lately I’ve been experimenting with coconut flour. In fact, I have a coconut flour pancake recipe. 🙂 What are your thoughts on coconut flour?

Elaine, you know how we roll! Of course we’re focused on real food the vast majority of the time, but during the show I shared my pancake story (and I’ve used coconut flour many times too). I feel it’s one of the better alternative flours available, but we still have to keep it in it’s rightful place as a processed food (though a gluten-free and delicious one 😉
