E. Coli Can DOUBLE Your Risk of a Heart Attack

That trip to the buffet or dinner with the family can end up haunting you far after the meal is finished.  Subjection to dangerous E. coli strains can result in things like gastroenteritis (stomach flu) and severe urinary tract infections.  E. coli exposure can commonly show up as “food poisoning”, but the new long-term implications are what’s truly unsettling.

In a Canadian Study of nearly 2,000 people who became ill during an outbreak of the E. coli O157 bacteria, it was found that their risk of heart attack had actually DOUBLED!

During the initial outbreak in May 2000, after a municipal water system was contaminated, seven people died, thousands became severely ill, while others were only mildly affected.

Following up on their medical history over the following years showed that the rate of kidney problems had tripled in those who had been severely affected.  They were also found to have higher blood pressure, and were more than 2 times as likely to have had a heart attack.

Escherichia coli (or E. coli) is bacterium commonly found in the lower intestines.  Most stains of E. coli are part of the beneficial flora of the gut. It’s a symbiotic relationship, where the E. coli helps to protect us from other pathogenic organisms.  Some strains of E. coli are extremely dangerous to humans, and are responsible for numerous deaths and hospitalizations every year.

The best method of dealing with dangerous E. coli bacteria is to AVOID IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.  When choosing your food sources it’s critical that you eat organically grown food at all costs. This especially applies to animal products, which are the usual culprit of E. coli outbreaks.  By eating ethically raised meat and dairy products, you’re cutting out a HUGE danger that could potentially harm your family.

Also adding powerful things like cloves, cinnamon, cayenne, oregano, and garlic to your food and beverages has been shown to eliminate over 99% of E. coli bacteria.  Add a dash of cinnamon to any questionable water.  Add garlic and cayenne to your salad greens and meat to ensure that you are not taking in any stowaways on the trip.

If you are ever stricken with a tough case of food poisoning, here are some important strategies to help you get instant relief:

*The Neutralizer:  Squeeze the juice of 4 lemons (NO WATER ADDED!) and add a tsp of agave to sweeten it a bit.  Drink this straight, and within less than 30 minutes all of your symptoms will likely be gone.  The acidity of the juice will kill the bacteria that have survived the hydrochloric acid in your gut.

*Silver Bullet: E. Coli infections can be deadly, and in the case where someone’s life is in danger, then Colloidal Silver can be a lifesaver.  This is a liquid suspension of the valuable mineral, and it’s been shown to be effective against over 650 disease-causing organisms (including E. coli).  The must-have book Prescription for Nutritional Healing has a wealth of information to have on hand, including recommended doses for colloidal silver use.

*The Miracle Worker:  Apple Cider Vinegar works in much the same way as the lemon juice, but with a few extra benefits.  It’s going to immediately begin killing nefarious bacteria, but it also helps your body to produce IT’S OWN stronger digestive juices to help ward off those unfriendlies.  Pour 2 full tablespoons into a glass and knock it down straight.  It’s a bit intense, but but you’ll get some good results within minutes.

*The Wild Card (When you need it):  In cases of a deeper issue, you need something that can really clean house.  Neem is likely the most potent antimicrobial, antibacterial substance on the planet.  Be sure to do a little extra research on neem because it’s extremely powerful and the dosage will vary.

This will give you a full arsenal to protect yourself against untimely food poisoning.

This is incredible information Shawn! I’m so glad that I came across this article, for I swear I was concerned about this very subject! I was recently told that I should reframe from drinking green smoothies, which I love love LOVE, because greens are loaded with parasites and bacterias, especially spinach and water cress. Of course, this information startled me (my children also loves them). I was told to put raw honey, juice of a lemon (organic, of course) in warm water and drink it every morning and evening. This is suppose to kill bacterias and help build hydrolic acid in the stomach to kill parasites. I know this is sounds sooooooooo gross, but I am really worried about this one.

    Hi Shawn,
I have gotten termendous information & benefit from your book, articles, & videos!!! It is so good to hear from someone who really knows his stuff.
Thank you for all you are doing to raise the awareness.

One question, The agave with the lemon….I understand that we want to avoid Agave because of the damage to the liver of high fructose sugar. True?

    Thank you,
    LeeAnne (Don’s sister…Lese’s sis-in-law)

Hi LeeAnne. Thank you so much, and that’s a great question you’re asking too. First thing, agave has gotten a really bad rap recently, but the past few years prior it was considered the BIG answer to people’s diabetic/ blood sugar problems. So who’s right…? The truth is that the agave plant has been used for many centuries by indigenous people, and it was VERY valuable because it was a desert plant that actually produced a liquid AND is was sweet!

The agave syrups on the market today are definitely not processed using the best techniques (they are heated extremely high to create the syrup from the agave “juice”). The unprocessed agave juice is rich in polysaccharides (long-chain sugars) that are probably the most important thing for our health. The ones in the agave plant are in the fructose family, but its an AMAZING form of it known as inulin. The preferred sweetener that I recommend for most people is a combination of a small amount of a natural sweetener (like honey or maple syrup) plus a little bit of stevia to bring out the sweetness. You can check out the strategy in this article we released here: Sweet Tooth Article

The is one agave product that has actually met my picky standards. Most agave’s would sort of flip me out and give me a weird headache, but not this one. It felt to my body that it was obviously rich in inulin. You can find it here: Ultimate Clear Agave

      All the best!
