This podcast really hit home. I just had an uncle die a few days ago due to complications from cancer. He had been diagnosed a few years ago with pancreatic cancer. Had surgery, chemo, radiation…the whole nine…but he was never proactive in changing anything because the doctors “cured” him. Fast forward a few years later, he starts having issues with keeping food down, doctors don’t know what it is, after a year he’s pencil thin, and still cant keep any food down…So they thought-being the operative word- it could be cancer again but couldn’t tell. so he gets continuously pumped up with meds in hopes that whatever this new mass is behind his pancreas will just go away because he was too weak to have surgery performed again…then he was diagnosed with liver failure and sent home on hospice to die. No one in my family-besides me- ever thought to ask about all of these meds he was taking day in and day out. what do you do when you try to be proactive and make the connection to what you do, eat and think has a direct correlation to your health? but you want to continue to eat frosted flakes after we’ve had the discussion about everything thats in that box that you’re consuming??? United we stand,….or we will continue to fall for any and everything someone else tells us we should be doing….Thank you for putting this out there and making the public more and more aware.

Hey Shawn and Jade! First of all, it was so great to meet you both at the Pat Flynn Meetup a couple of weeks ago. I’m just now getting a chance to come over to the site but I came JUST IN TIME!

My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer just yesterday. And I listened to this podcast to see if there was anything I could learn to help her at all (also sent this to her to listen for herself) and just want to say thank you guys (and Ty) for the wealth of information shared here!! Not just for my mom but for me as well. As you mentioned Shawn, we KNOW what’s right for us but most of us, myself included, have not made the commitment to do anything – and won’t until we get devastating news like sickness and disease where we’re forced (if we’re lucky) to have a chance to do something about it.

I commit right now to eat for my body (with this commitment comes education) and not for my taste buds – at least not ALL the time. 🙂

Thanks again and I look forward to listening to more podcasts, watching more vids, and staying connected to you guys! Until next time…

    Toodles!

Shawn, you are doing great work!
I am a family nurse practitioner and have seen the horrible suffering that is caused by conventional medicine. I’m working on finding my voice to share my thoughts and experiences. Thank you for all you do and for the inspiration!
